SALUTE THE CONVENTION IN DESH BHAGAT YADGAAR HALL AND RALLY OF PUNJAB STUDENTS UNION IN JALANDHAR UPHOLDING THE TORCH OF LIBERATION OF KASHMIRI PEOPLE FROM YOKE OF CAPTIVITY AND RUTHLESSLY COMBAT THE HINDU FASCISTS THREATENING THE ENDEAVOR.

LONG LIVE THE LIBERATION OF THE KASHMIRI PEOPLE

A massive 700 strong rally from Desh Bhagat Yadgaar hall to Company Bagh organized by Punjab Students Union was taken out in the streets of Jalandhar yesterday reverberating the slogan of 'Long live the freedom of the Kashmiri people', 'Withdraw Indian army from Kashmir', and 'down with communal Hindu fanatics.

'It followed a convention held in Desh Bhagat Yadgaar hall of over 700 students adressing the topic of self -determination of Kashmiri people.

The speakers were Babar Kadri(kashmir) Gautam Navlakkha (delhi), Gen.Sec..Pardip kasba (secretary of psu)pro..Jagmohan singh(Association for Democratic Rights ,Punjab),Rajinder (President of PSU)The speakers recounted the history of Kashmir since even pre-1947 and how their freedom was trampled.

They explained why the liberation ofKashmir and it's sovereignty was a true nationality movement. It spoke volumes of the political credibility of Punjab Students Union that staged this event in the mist of consistent threats by Hindutva forces and other ruling class parties.

It thus defended the legacy of Naxalbari which championed the cause of oppressed nationalities unlike revisionist parties.Earlier the organization sent fact-finding team to investigate the previous happenings in Kashmir The speakers vociferously condemned the state repression and called for withdrawal of the army and scraping of black laws.

The pro-Hindutva forces with the connivance of the police tried to sabotage the event .The event had great significance in relating the student movement with the genuine nationality movements like in Kashmir which is a major task in the New Democratic Revolution.

With such great repression on revolutionary mass organizations nation wide such an open meeting was of great significance and an inspiration to the entire student community in combating the tyranny of Hindu Saffron fascism and defending the sovereignty of the people of Kashmir.
